Combination SurgeryThis is a 64 yo female who had significantly droopy upper eyelids due to dermatochalasis (excess skin) and ptosis (droopy eyelids). She was also interested in pursuing cosmetic lower eyelid blepharoplasty. After surgery, the patient noticed improvement in both appearance and peripheral vision.
Combination SurgeryThis is a 66 yo female who had severe droopy eyelids due to a combination of dermatochalasis (excess skin) and ptosis (droopy eyelids) causing obstruction of her peripheral vision. Her visual obstruction was so severe that she has been taping her eyelids up for years to try to see, but even that was starting to be insufficient to give her the vision she needed to function in her job and day to day life. She underwent upper blepharoplasty and ptosis repair under local anesthesia in the office and afterwards noticed that she didn’t have to struggle and strain to open her eyes to see.
